Raymond M. Iacovacci Auto Biography
I am a Writer, Director, Producer, a Graphic Artist, and also a Musician/Music Producer. Associated with multiple television series and feature films, I am known for my management, Directing, and Producing in Los Angeles , Europe, and Asia. I continue to be a driving force in Animation and Live Action productions having spent three seasons on the hit television series, "The Simpsons" working hand in hand with Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, and Dan Povenmire of "Phinieas and Ferb" fame. I was at the helm of "StreetFighter" the Animated series, as well as Production Supervisor on feature films such as "Fox and the Hound 2" for Disney, and Overseas Production Manager on "The King and I", and "Scarecrow" for Warner Bros. In 2010, I started my company as a Development Company and a full service production company. We are in pre-production on the live action romantic comedy "The Doctors B" which was written by myself. My company is in development of the animation/live action film "Sinclair." I am also in production of a ten song compilation of classic cover tunes with partial proceeds going to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital for Children with cancer.
Upon arrival in Hollywood after graduating from High School, I was propelled into an eight year long career in Entertainment Banking holding the investments and bank accounts for celebrities such as Jane Fonda, Bob Hope, and Ron Howard. Other clients of mine also included Van Halen, Pat Benetar, and The Doors remaining members, just to name a few. 500 celebrity clients in all. At age 19, I was the designated banker for Carolco who made the RAMBO movies. I handled their investments and international banking. I was trained in all aspects of banking having studied at the American Bankers College but focused on Investment Banking. After eight years of banking, I left banking in order to focus on a career in feature films, television series, and music.
My first job in animation was at Andy Heyward's DIC Animation. I moved up the ranks of Production Assistant and Production Coordinator. A few years later I was a Production Manager on "The Simpsons." Before "The Simpsons", I worked as a Production Supervisor on "Rover Dangerfield, and "Bebe's Kids" feature films. This began my sixteen hour a day, six days a week work ethic. 1993 was my first overseas job as the Overseas Producer for Al Gore's DARE program producing the animation done in St. Petersburg, Russia. The film was called "The DARE Report." It won best Public Service Announcement of 1994. The award was given to veteran Animation Director Mike Polcino in the Oval Office. The award was given to Mike by then President Bill Clinton. 1994 also found me directing and producing the animation done in Seoul, S. Korea on a pilot of an American version of "Sailor Moon" starting my long tenure in Asia. After that, I was the Head of Production on the series "StreetFighter" bouncing back and forth from Los Angeles, and Seoul, and Manila. I also, that year, squeezed in time to direct and produce the pilot for "Pillow People" in Cocoa Beach, Florida. What a year that was. Then I directed and production managed the overseas animation work on "The King and I", "Scarecrow", and "Trumpet of the Swan" for Rick Rich's Animation. It found me back to Seoul yet again. Those films were made for Warner Bros. Animation and Columbia TriStar. The animation came out so good on "Trumpet of the Swan", instead of straight to video, TriStar put it into 1500 theaters in America alone. Between projects I directed and produced the animation done in Seoul for the pilot of "Trippin' the Rift" for Nickelodeon. It won Best Animated Film at the 2002 Playboy Animation Festival. I moved onto "Fox and the Hound 2" for Disney as the Overseas Production Supervisor. That work was done in Manila. Next came "StoryTeller Cafe" which I directed and produced the animation for CBN and promptly moved on as Production Manager on "Planet Sheen" for Nickelodeon. In 2015, I recieved an Associate degree in Art from the International School of Design and Technology. In between projects, I recorded and produced multiple songs for bands in the Philippines and Jakarta, Indonesia. I make bands sound amazing. Over four dozen songs done.
